Architecture Committee

Together with its expert advisors from universities, the Architecture Committee devises and discusses current subjects in the field of architecture and city planning. Since 2001, the Architecture Committee attends to the subject “Visions of the City of the 21ST Century” and works on projects for urban redevelopment with students of various universities.

The goal of the committee is the support of exemplary work processes and interdisciplinary work collaborations of students from different architectural and city planning faculties. In order to do so, professors of various universities are invited to participate with their students on a different project each year. After an intensive collaboration of all participants and a few informal meetings, the project ends with a competition. The joint work and individual results are documented and the Kulturkreis honors the best concept and design with the Kulturkreis Architecture Prize endowed with 10.000 Euro.
